One statistic that has always stuck with me is the fact the men die younger than women. This is true all over the world, including in Ireland.
The main causes of men dying early are: high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high blood sugar and cancer (prostate, bowel, testicular).
They all have two things in common. There will often be no symptoms early on. And they are all preventable if caught early. The solution is clear: men need to see their doctor and get checked out.
But men are not great at going to the doctor. And then there’s all the stuff men just won’t talk about. Sexual problems. Bowel issues. Mental health concerns and suicide.
I started MensHealth.ie to make it as easy as possible for men to get to their GP. Please take that first step and book in. I want to help.
“There are lots of reasons why men don’t attend their GPs. The biggest obstacle is getting them in the door in the first place. MensHealth.ie wants to fix that by bringing the doctor to you.”
